Update: Pre-holiday tuneup 🔧

As you head into the holidays, we shift from our normal mix of features/improvements/updates and focus solidly on maintenance: ensuring that we have your back through what is (for most of our customers) the busiest time of the year.

Our holiday support hours start on November 5 and run through January 3 (more info here).


  • Fixed an inventory layer display bug on accounts with FIFO cost tracking.

  • If you sync invoices to QuickBooks or Xero, you can now choose not to sync an invoice when you’re creating it.

  • In the product taxonomy manager, editing the a category name or shortcode would move that category up a level. Now it’ll stay put.

  • There was a bug preventing Stitch X customers from using the “close and mark as shipped” action. Fixed!

Update: Import Shopify order tags, integrate best-in-class 3PLs, and route orders by postal code

As more and more brands outsource fulfillment to third parties, 3PLs have become a larger part of our customers' worlds (and ours). New Features


  • You can now import order tags (as well as order tag updates) from Shopify. Use this with Shopify Flow to further automate order management and segment orders for reporting.


  • Fixed an issue where Channel Connect (our SFTP gateway for connecting Walmart, Jet, and other platforms) was duplicating contacts. No longer!

  • Our newest engineer fixed a bunch of bugs that made it harder to work inside our app. Thanks and welcome, Matt!

Update: Holy moly

It’s been six weeks since we shared what’s new with Stitch. That’s a shame, because there’s always good work being done:

  • Your feedback helps us know where to focus (thank you)
  • Our customer teams help filter and contextualize that feedback (thank you)
  • Our designers and developers turn those insights into a better product (thank you).

The last mile counts the most, though: everybody needs to know what’s new, fixed, and improved. We’ll do better :-)

New Features

  • Edit PO receipts: On Stitch X, you can now edit purchase order receipts (available for new POs, on premium plans only).

  • PO currency conversion: On Stitch X, you can now set an exchange rate to convert PO currency into your default account currency.

  • Order routing by postal code (beta): If your plan includes Geographic Order Routing, you can now route orders by zip code. This feature is currently in beta; please reach out to your success manager (or Stitch Support) to learn more.

  • Import order tags from Shopify (beta): When importing orders from Shopify, Stitch can now pull in order tags. To enable this on your account, please contact Support.


  • On Stitch X, you can now import purchase orders via CSV using SKU (rather than Stitch ID).

  • Need to quickly check a sales report for a particular order type? You can now filter sales reports by order tag.

  • We updated our SPS EDI integration to a more secure connection type.

  • For transfer orders on Stitch X, you can now vertically scroll through shipments (helpful if shipping transfers in more than ten cartons).


  • Fixed several bugs and improved sync performance for Channel Connect, our SFTP gateway for connecting Walmart,, Houzz, Wayfair, and other platforms.

  • The in-app report view was omitting the last row of data (exports included all data). Fixed!

Update: August Fixprovements

If you fulfill sales orders via 3PL, Stitch now flags fulfillments and line items that aren't linked to corresponding items at your 3PL:

Fulfillments with unlinked line items will be flagged as Unfulfillable (preventing routing/release) until the line items are linked to the corresponding 3PL. This helps you resolve unlinked line items before they cause short shipments or sync problems.


  • When sending sales orders to ShipStation, Stitch now sends reference number (typically the order number on your sales channel) as a custom field (Custom Field 1, which appears in the Order Notes section). Stitch also sends reference number as part of the ShipStation Order #.

  • Improved error handling with Channel Connect, especially around billing/shipping country (which requires the ISO Alpha-2 format).


  • On new transfer orders (Stitch X only), some company logos were causing packing slip export to fail. No more!

  • You could always filter of our Sales by… (Product/Variant/etc.) reports by Shopify POS location, but the filter wasn’t sticking when exporting your data. You could see it in the app, but not in the CSV. Now the filter works for CSV export, too!

Update: Make. It. Easier.

Need to view stock history for a single variant or product? You can now search the Stock Log by Warehouse report by product and variant, right inside the app. You can export the filtered set, too. Big improvement. Big. Huge.

When clicking into the Inbound quantity to see expected arrival dates and shortcut links to POs (Stitch X only), the inbound quantity wasn't matching the ship notice quantities. Now they do!

Update: New QuickBooks Integration and Fixprovements

New Features

  • If you're on Stitch X and use QuickBooks, we have a completely rebuilt integration for you. The new integration gives you more flexibility over what syncs and what doesn't. Note: because Stitch isn't a payment processor, this integration doesn't sync payments. We recommend syncing invoices and payments from your sales channel (where customer payments are processed) rather than syncing invoices from Stitch.

Update: More Signal, Less Noise

This release features some welcome clarifications for front-line teams: we added details that help you get your work done and we removed details that weren't helping anyone. We've got a lot of exciting stuff planned for Q3, but it feels good to sweat the small stuff because the small stuff adds up. Have a great weekend and thank you for using Stitch!

New Features


  • On Stitch X, fulfillment pages now show shipped quantities alongside allocated quantities, making it easy to eyeball what shipped and what didn’t.

  • On Stitch X, Fulfillment Detail pages now clearly distinguish between different types of “complete” fulfillments: fully shipped, partially shipped, and fully canceled.

  • If you sync ship notices (from POs and/or TOs) to your integrated 3PL, Stitch now sends the 3PL an ID that you can easily search against in Stitch. This gives you a common reference number across Stitch and your 3PL’s WMS.

  • On Stitch X, the Split Fulfillment screen now shows the variant description (much more helpful than the product name alone) as well as the aggregate available quantity.

  • Our newer reports are now listed in alphabetical order. Our oldest reports stubbornly refuse to budge. Their days are numbered…

  • We made some foundational improvements to reports, which in the near future should make several easier to use and navigate. In a nutshell, we can group related reports together and exclude irrelevant filters, so if the report doesn’t need a date filter, we can now hide it. If you see a report that needs this special treatment, please let our support team know.


  • On Stitch X, the Product Detail page was displaying incorrect committed quantities and loading slowwwly for everyone. Quantities now calculate more efficiently and—even better—correctly for all.

Update: Fixprovements


  • Stitch’s SFTP custom integration service (Channel Connect) now supports up to 250 new products/orders per sync. We also improved the queueing logic in cases where there are more than 250 new records to import.


  • On Stitch X, orders created manually on the Shopify admin were importing as POS orders. They now import just like any other web order.

  • On Stitch X, orders fulfilled via Amazon multi-channel fulfillment appeared as partially shipped even when they were fully shipped. Fixed!

  • On Stitch Classic, basic users weren’t able to create or edit transfer orders, even if they had the correct permissions. Transfer order user permissions should now work properly.

Update: Transfer Order Rollout, Bug Fixes, and Improvements

Customers on Stitch X (our latest version of Stitch) have created over 600 transfer orders to allocate inventory across their business. If you're on Stitch X but haven't explored transfer orders, give them a look. If you use old transfer orders but haven't explored Stitch X, do check it out!


  • We improved our 3PL sync logic to reduce the risk of 3PLs pushing outdated stock values back to Stitch. This should reduce the risk of overselling when working with an integrated 3PL.

  • The new and improved Supplier Association CSV is now on for all accounts using multi-warehousing. If you’re not using multi-warehousing, consider using it to allocate inventory in Stitch.

  • On Stitch X, manually splitting orders now preserves the original ship method and adds it to the new fulfillment(s).


  • Product Update CSV exports were failing for products with lots of image files. These exports now handle much larger image sets.

  • When adding purchase order line items with a default reorder quantity, the quantity filled, but stubbornly changed to 0 upon save. Bug squashed!

  • Fixed a bug that interfered with Amazon multi-channel fulfillment on Stitch X. Customers using this feature now have better visibility into when an order is acknowledged (and eventually shipped) by Amazon.

  • Converting a variant into a bundle wasn’t properly clearing stock (bundles don’t hold stock in Stitch). Stitch now requires that you zero out stock before converting items into bundles.

  • When publishing to Shopify, Stitch would initially publish variants with 1 unit of stock. Now, Stitch will push stock according to your default Master of Stock settings.

Update: New Transfer Orders, Channel Connect, and Bugfixes

If you’re one of over 200 accounts already on Stitch X, we’re rolling out new and improved transfer orders starting next week!

This rolls out first to accounts without an integrated 3PL; other accounts will follow, grouped by 3PL—which, where supported, will be able to ship and/or receive against these new TOs. The initial customer response has been great and we think they’ll help you allocate faster and smarter.

New Features

  • If you’re on Stitch X and want to connect a sales channel that lacks a direct integration, check out Channel Connect, a two-way connection between Stitch and an SFTP server.


  • The Taxonomy Manager allowed you to set a product category as its own parent category, which short-circuited Stitch’s simple robot brain and caused all sorts of mysterious downstream problems. Props to V (new Stitch engineer) for her first bug fix!

  • An error in our safety logic prevented some customers from archiving warehouses. This is now fixed. If you’re having trouble archiving a warehouse, our Support team can help you out.

  • If you were making draft orders on Stitch X, there was a bug preventing those orders from closing—even after being taken out of draft. Bug squashed!
