Update: Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We hope you're recharged and ready to make 2018 a success. We've lifted our code freeze and are back in full swing.

Updates

  • Updating orders via our API (as well as many other API calls) should now be faster and more reliable.

  • Stitch will now route orders for custom channel orders (orders that import via CSV or NuORDER).

  • For accounts with dropshippable line items, the Variants page now loads about fifty percent faster.

Bugfixes

  • When moving variants to another product, the “transfer images” option would sometimes duplicate images in the new parent product. Stitch now protects against this.

  • If you saved a stocktake with zero line items, you wouldn’t be able to edit it later. Saving a stocktake now requires at least one line item.

  • In the QuickBooks Online add-on settings, account mappings displayed as blank. Mappings now display properly.

  • In Auto Link settings, the Do not autolink option was displaying as blank. This now displays properly.

  • Improved the sync logic for Master of Price, which should fix performance issues for accounts using this feature.

Update: Winter code freeze is coming

To help ensure stability and performance during the busy holiday season, we have a partial code freeze in place tomorrow through January 1st.

No new features or enhancements will be released during this time, but we’ll fix critical bugs and performance issues should they arise.

Update: Flexibility, Visibility, and Performance

New Features

Updates

  • Customers using our transactional stock logic (“decrement stock when units ship”) should notice a number of improvements, including more control over when items release to fulfillment, easier order splitting, and new filters for easier order management. Transactional stock logic is available to customers on a current pricing plan.

  • When creating a manual order in Stitch, setting the order date to today used to save as midnight. Now we capture the time, which allows for more accurate holding periods in Stitch and order age in ShipStation.

  • We made improvements to our channel sync logic, which should result in faster channel syncs and more stable performance going into the holiday season.

Bugfixes

  • The last column of the Supplier Association CSV wasn’t uploading for some customers. Now it should upload in entirety.

Update: Help articles for everyone!

Updates

  • The Help icon is now in the bottom right corner of the app, which should make it easier for new folks to find and less in the way of everyday work.

  • In-app help articles should now be easier to read and scan thanks to some light text formatting.

  • We updated over 100 articles in the help center, which should come in handy when you need fast answers to questions about Product Taxonomy, Advanced Order Routing, and other functionality.

  • The Sales by Product report wasn't loading at all for some of our larger accounts. Now it should load for everyone.

Update: Make it better, do it faster

Updates

  • We upgraded a key part of our infrastructure, which should result in faster application response times.

  • We removed Revenue and Units Sold from the Variants view, which should noticeably improve page load times on larger accounts.

  • To reduce your risk of data loss, admins can no longer remove sales channels.

Update: Work Behind the Scenes

Work continues behind the scenes to change how stock decrements in Stitch (for more info, read our prior update). This will be a substantial change to Stitch stock logic and a welcome feature for anyone who splits orders and/or ships before receiving payment.

Rest assured: we won't require migration to this new logic during Q4. We already have customers using this logic and we expect to migrate a few early adopters this quarter, so please contact Support or your customer success manager if you'd like to learn more.

Update: Small changes up front, big changes behind the scenes

It's been a quiet month for Stitch release notes, but our team has been hard at work behind the scenes. The biggest project currently underway is a change to when units decrement.

In today's Stitch, stock goes down when sales orders close. This model is fine as long as orders are ready to close right after being shipped. But for wholesale orders that ship before being ready to close (or retail orders with split shipments), this model creates discrepancies between what you have on your shelves and what you have "in stock" in Stitch.

In future versions of Stitch, stock will decrement when units ship, rather than when sales orders close. This feature will first be available to new customers. Existing customers should be able to migrate later this year or wait until after the holiday rush. We'll share more with you via release notes as things develop.

Updates

  • If you have a 3PL integrated with Stitch, admins can now rename the associated warehouse via Settings > Locations > Edit.

  • The setting to automatically import a channel's products into Stitch inventory is now called Auto Import, rather than the more jargon-y Autobuild. Aside from the name change, it works exactly as before.
