Added protections to our Shopify sync for when Shopify responds with a server error. This is especially helpful for high-volume accounts doing flash sales and other large promotions.
If you set a Manual Order Channel Name (via Settings > Feature Settings), this now appears in the Channels filter and Channel column of the Orders page.
Order export to ShipStation would occasionally time out for some of our larger customers. The export logic should now be faster for everyone.
Editing a variant would (quite annoyingly) reset the attribute/option sort order. Fixed!
In our last release notes we announced support for Shopify Locations, including multi-location stock push. This functionality is now available to all Stitch X customers (except for a few who are planning a managed migration with their Stitch success manager).
Later this quarter, we'll launch an updated Variants table (Stitch X only). This new table makes it much easier to see inventory across locations—both at a glance and with quick drill-downs into expected inventory and variant details. Stay tuned for an announcement in March!
Updated our image resizing service so that when products and variants import from a sales channel, we now store and resize them rather than relying on CDN images from your sales channel. This should help with in-app load times and reduce the amount of broken image links.
Updated our Amazon sync logic to reduce unnecessary API calls for FBA orders. This should improve sync performance for high-volume FBA sellers.
The "recent orders" section of the Contact Detail page was showing a customer's oldest orders rather than their most recent. This now shows the five most recent orders based on order date. Props to our newest engineer Aaron for making this fix! 👏
Setting the earliest release date on a sales order fulfillment (Stitch X only) wasn't respecting time zones outside US Pacific time. Now it should work!
Stocktakes containing line items with apostrophes wouldn't save. Now they do!
We fixed a few PDF export issues affecting new purchase orders (Stitch X only): bill-to address, ship method, and total units should all display properly.
The new Shopify Locations settings were showing for every channel, when they were only supposed to show for… wait for it… Shopify. Fixed!
On Stitch X, we're rolling out support for Shopify Locations, where Stitch can push stock to specific inventory locations in Shopify. We began moving customers to the new logic last week and will continue rolling this out to more customers on Stitch X.
On Stitch X, purchase order ship notices now have an Internal Notes field. This field is for internal team communication and doesn't appear on PDFs or ship notices sent to 3PLs.
The Sales by Category report was timing out for our larger customers, so we rebuilt it for Stitch X only. The old report is still available for customers using Stitch Classic.
On Stitch X, the Inbound tooltip now links directly to transfer and purchase orders (see gif). It can also take you to a list of purchase orders and transfer orders filtered for that specific variant. Pretty, pretty good.
On Stitch X, you're now required to update links (rather than unlink and relink) when a listing has open sales orders. For more information, see the related help article.
On Stitch X, when fixing an unlinked order that was already fulfilled on the channel (ex: POS orders, FBA orders), Stitch wouldn't pull in the "shipment" update. This is fixed, moving forward.
On Stitch X, updating a transfer order shipment with tracking information (post-shipment) would lock the transfer order. No longer!
On Stitch X, stocktakes would fail if associated inventory had negative stock. In these cases, Stitch now alerts you of negative stock values and how to resolve them.
Stocktakes would fail if they contained variants with apostrophes in their name. They should now work as expected.
On Stitch X, the option to edit purchase order receipts was showing for accounts using average cost accounting. This option is only for accounts using the FIFO costing method and is now hidden for those using average cost.
While we kept a pretty tight code freeze through all of December and most of November/January, we were still busy making fixes and updates behind the scenes. We've now packaged all that work into a single release that went live late last week. This post is longer than normal, so the TL;DR is that we continue to focus on making Stitch X the best operational solution that modern brands can buy. These updates reflect investments in purchase orders, reporting, stock visibility (especially for brands selling wholesale), and allocation (especially through transfer orders). Expect additional investments in these areas throughout the year.
For Stitch X and Stitch Classic, the Sales Orders table now has filters for partially billed, paid, allocated/packed, and shipped orders. For Stitch X, in particular, this makes it easier to find wholesale orders that haven’t been fully allocated and/or shipped.
When creating sales orders in Stitch, you can now see additional stock measures (stock, available, and awaiting/inbound—in aggregate and for the specified warehouse). This should be helpful if you sell inventory before you it’s on hand (wholesale, in particular). If you need more insight into the variant, you can now click on the line item (opening the Variant Detail page in a new tab).
On sales order fulfillments (Stitch X only), we now show Service Method as a standalone field (previously part of notes). This passes to 3PLs as a separate field, but still passes to ShipStation as a note.
When creating/editing sales orders, the Advanced Product Finder now shows aggregate awaiting values (as well as aggregate available). They’re also clearly labeled now, making Stitch less mysterious and more helpful.
On new transfer orders (Stitch X only), you can now filter the TO master list by variant, product, or custom ID (SKU, UPC, etc.).
On new purchase orders and transfer orders (Stitch X only), you can now see who performed the receipt (screenshot).
If you remove an old 3PL integration from Stitch, you can now archive the corresponding warehouse.
If you use BigCommerce with Stitch, you now authorize the integration via OAuth, a more secure/controlled method of authentication: better for you, us, and BigCommerce.
When you delete a tag, Stitch now warns you that this removes the tag from any already-tagged records.
For reports with in-app search/filtering, the search bar now tells you what you can search by. To quote an anonymous Stitch success manager: "Thank God!"
To account for data latency in some of our more complex reports, all in-app reports now show “Data up to date through” with a corresponding timestamp.
We retired our inventory planning module to focus on more valuable features.
The onboarding guides that all users (even long-ago onboarded ones) would sometimes see when filtering/searching tables is now gone, joining Microsoft's Clippy and other unhelpful helpers in the dustbin of bad design.
The Historical Stock and Financials reports were timing out for some accounts. They should now load for even our largest customers, with added protections to ensure correct end-of-period values.
On new purchase orders (Stitch X only), clicking More > Download Purchase Order > Ship notice only wouldn’t always download the PDF. Now it does.

Product images weren’t importing from Channel Connect. Now they do.
Variants that have hit their aggregate low-stock threshold weren’t showing on the Variants low-stock filter. Now they do!
A small number of reports were showing duplicate data rows. Fixed!
The Supplier Association CSV wasn't downloading for Safari users. Now it does (but Stitch still works best on Chrome).
On Stitch X, in cases where someone orders a single item as well as a bundle containing that item, Stitch was marking fully shipped orders as partially fulfilled on Shopify. This is now fixed.
As of this week, we're operating under a partial code freeze. We won't be releasing new features or enhancements until the new year, but we will be resolving critical bugs and performance issues during this time.

We've migrated all Shopify accounts to their new API. For now, Stitch can push stock to your primary location only. We expect to push stock to individual locations starting in early 2019.
Purchase order PDF export was failing if the PO was self-supplied (i.e., no supplier specified). Now it works!

Fixed an inventory layer display bug on accounts with FIFO cost tracking.
In the product taxonomy manager, editing the a category name or shortcode would move that category up a level. Now it’ll stay put.
There was a bug preventing Stitch X customers from using the “close and mark as shipped” action. Fixed!
As more and more brands outsource fulfillment to third parties, 3PLs have become a larger part of our customers' worlds (and ours). Order routing by postal code is now available to all customers with Geographic Order Routing.
If you work with an integrated 3PL but want to control your inventory numbers, you can now disable 3PL stock control on a per-3PL basis.
Stitch X customers now have several new sales order fulfillment reports, which are useful for real-time status as well as historical analysis.

Edit PO receipts: On Stitch X, you can now edit purchase order receipts (available for new POs, on premium plans only).
PO currency conversion: On Stitch X, you can now set an exchange rate to convert PO currency into your default account currency.
Order routing by postal code (beta): If your plan includes Geographic Order Routing, you can now route orders by zip code. This feature is currently in beta; please reach out to your success manager (or Stitch Support) to learn more.
Import order tags from Shopify (beta): When importing orders from Shopify, Stitch can now pull in order tags. To enable this on your account, please contact Support.
On Stitch X, you can now import purchase orders via CSV using SKU (rather than Stitch ID).
Need to quickly check a sales report for a particular order type? You can now filter sales reports by order tag.
We updated our SPS EDI integration to a more secure connection type.
For transfer orders on Stitch X, you can now vertically scroll through shipments (helpful if shipping transfers in more than ten cartons).

The in-app report view was omitting the last row of data (exports included all data). Fixed!
If you fulfill sales orders via 3PL, Stitch now flags fulfillments and line items that aren't linked to corresponding items at your 3PL:
Fulfillments with unlinked line items will be flagged as Unfulfillable (preventing routing/release) until the line items are linked to the corresponding 3PL. This helps you resolve unlinked line items before they cause short shipments or sync problems.
When sending sales orders to ShipStation, Stitch now sends reference number (typically the order number on your sales channel) as a custom field (Custom Field 1, which appears in the Order Notes section). Stitch also sends reference number as part of the ShipStation Order #.
On new transfer orders (Stitch X only), some company logos were causing packing slip export to fail. No more!
You could always filter of our Sales by… (Product/Variant/etc.) reports by Shopify POS location, but the filter wasn’t sticking when exporting your data. You could see it in the app, but not in the CSV. Now the filter works for CSV export, too!
Need to view stock history for a single variant or product? You can now search the Stock Log by Warehouse report by product and variant, right inside the app. You can export the filtered set, too. Big improvement. Big. Huge.
When clicking into the Inbound quantity to see expected arrival dates and shortcut links to POs (Stitch X only), the inbound quantity wasn't matching the ship notice quantities. Now they do!
